CI 2014 Reflections Operations in the crowd Commercial Integrator ’s 2014 Talent Standouts represent a diverse set of personnel and skills at different stages of the honorees’ careers. By D. Craig MacCormack WE ASKED FOR YOUR HELP in putting together the 2014 Talent Standouts, our first ever, and once again you delivered. Much like when we compiled the CI 40 Influencers Under 40 and unveiled that list in our September issue, we’ve relied on your nom-inations and in several cases it’s been an introduction to companies or people who are new to us. That doesn’t mean these are the rookies of the year or the all-unknowns. You might see at least a few names you know and have seen more than once in the past. It’s just interesting how much tal-ent there is in this industry that might otherwise go unnoticed by the masses and unrecognized by their peers. 38 | Commercial Integrator December 2014 STANDING OUT Here’s hoping you too find out about someone or something you didn’t know when checking out this list and the reasons their co-workers and industry colleagues nominated them for this pres-tigious honor. Without further ado, I introduce you to CI ’s 2014 Talent Standouts. Linda Civitillo, VP of sales operations and strategic marketing; Mark Linton, senior VP of sales and operations (east); and Tim Riek, senior VP of service operations of AVI-SPL Nominated by John Zettel, AVI-SPL CEO Civitillo “has provided excellent le adership for the company’s sales op era tions and ha s recently expanded her CIVITILLO LINTON RIEK role into marketing,” says Zettel. She’s made “remarkable improvements to the way the com-pany pursues enterprise accounts by setting up RFP services, man-aging contracts and creating an international sales organization,” he says. In her expanded role, Civitillo will help lead the company’s go-to-market strategy and develop the tools needed to enable our sales team, says Zettel. Linton was promoted to his new role this year and has moved from general manager for the Chicago office to operations manager
